About: The Consort of Voices are joined by renowned period-instrument ensemble, His Majestys Sagbutts and Cornetts, in the Missa Super Congratulamini mihi by Orlande de Lassus, and Heinrich Schütz’s motet ’Saul, Saul, was verfolgst du mich?’ in a service celebrating the feast day of St Paul.

The College Choir sings music by Johannes Eccard, Gustav Holst and Edward Naylor in this service of Evensong with procession of candles, for the feast of Candlemas.


Saturday 22nd February, 6pm

Joint Evensong with the Pimlico Musical Foundation

The College Choir are joined by young singers from the Pimlico Musical Foundation, a charity working to provide singing opportunities for primary school children in central London, in music by Stanford and Bainton.


Tuesday 25th February, 6pm

Choral Evensong with Distribution of Claymond’s Dole

The College Choir sing Evensong before Choristers, Academical Clerks, Scholars, Demys and Fellows are awarded the annual benefaction established by John Claymond and friends in the sixteenth century.


Wednesday 26th February, 6pm

Sung Eucharist for Ash Wednesday

The College Choir sing Byrd’s Mass for Five Voices and Allegri’s famous setting of the Miserere.


Tuesday 10th March, 6pm

Joint Choral Evening Prayer with the Maîtrise de Garçons de Colmar

The Choristers join forces with young singers from France in music by Dyson, Hayes and Vaughan Williams.


Saturday 14th March, 6pm

Choral Evensong sung by the College Choir and Consort of Voices

The College Choir and Consort of Voices combine for the final Evensong of the Hilary Term in music by Stainer, Howells and Stanford.


Sunday 29th March, 4pm

The Crucifixion

The College Choir and Consort of Voices come together to sing the setting of the Passion narrative by former Informator Choristarum, John Stainer.

The Academical Clerks sing Tallis’s Lamentations as part of this solemn service.

Festal Sung Eucharist for Easter Day

The College Choir sings Mozart’s Coronation Mass and motets by Poulenc, Vaughan Williams and Handel in celebration of the festival of Easter.
